Specially designed for use in all conditions, the HeartSine® Samaritan® PAD 500P Defibrillator is sophisticated, lightweight at 1.1kg and Semi Automatic – allowing the rescuer to deliver a shock through the shock button quickly. The HeartSine® design is easy-to-operate with clear voice and visual prompts, helping the user through pad placement and CPR in an emergency.

HeartSine – Low ongoing cost:

All with a low ongoing cost, the Adult Pad-Pak pad and battery lasts for 3-4 years and only cost $249 to replace. (Paediatric-Pak is an optional extra purchase).

Using this Defibrillator:

All that is required to use a Defibrillator / AED is to recognise that someone who has collapsed may be in cardiac arrest and attach the Defibrillator /AED’s two
adhesive pads (electrodes) to the patient’s bare chest. These pads allow the AED to monitor the heart’s electrical rhythm and will deliver a
shock if it is needed. This Defibrillator /AED will provide verbal and visual prompts.
This Defibrillator /AED will analyse the heart’s electrical rhythm and if it detects a rhythm likely to respond to a shock (a rhythm such as VF/VT), it will
charge itself ready to deliver a shock. This devices will then promt to deliver the shock and the rescuer will be required to press a button to deliver the shock.
The Defibrillator /AED will then prompt the rescuer to give the patient CPR for two minutes. After two minutes, the Defibrillator /AED will again prompt the rescuer/s not to touch
the patient while it checks the heart rhythm to determine if another shock is required. The Defibrillator /AED will continue to provide prompts as required.
These should be followed until paramedics arrive and are ready to provide further treatment.

This HeartSine Defibrillator /AED is reliable and will only shock a patient when it is required. It is safe for both the patient and the rescuer, and present
minimal risk of a rescuer receiving a shock. Care should be taken not to touch the person during shock delivery but there are no reports of
harm to rescuers from attempting defibrillation in wet environments or on a metal surface.

This AEDs require minimal routine maintenance or servicing; This device performs daily self-checks and displays a warning if it needs attention in the way of a red flashing light and a loud “BEEPING SOUND” if a problem is detected. This AEDs has a life-expectancy of eight years and the the batteries and pads have a long shelf-life of up to 4 years, allowing the AED to only be checked once month.
