How the HeartSine 500P AED Works
The HeartSine Samaritan PAD 500P Defibrillator is designed to guide rescuers through effective CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and defibrillation to improve survival outcomes in cardiac emergencies. CPR combines compressions to circulate blood to vital organs with rescue breaths to supply oxygen.
The HeartSine 500P provides real-time CPR feedback to ensure high-quality compressions. Audible prompts such as “Good Compressions,” “Push Harder,” “Push Faster,” and “Push Slower” guide the rescuer, while visual indicators on the device display the effectiveness of each compression.
Built-in Impedance Cardiogram (ICG) technology measures chest impedance to calculate the correct force and rate of compressions. This ensures compressions are both deep enough and applied at the proper speed. Once CPR is started, an audible cadence beep helps maintain a consistent rhythm.
