People assume that hospital staff are naturally able to conduct first aid, no matter which department they work in. The fact is that First Aid requires consistant training and upskilling, especially to those working in the health industry.
Our chief trainer, Scott Whimpey, recently conducted some refresher training in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue for the maintenance team at Pindara Private Hospital.
This actually doubled up as a two-way training session with Scott taking some time out after the course to get some interesting information on testing and calibration of some medical equipment.
