Moreover, our Low Voltage Rescue course incorporates working through a risk assessment, but also implementing control measures and conducting a hands on rescue of a worker from a live LV panel.
Finally, if you need to refresh the Low Voltage Rescue and CPR ticket, come to one of our courses at our Varsity Lakes or Coomera Training Centre. We have free parking and can also come onsite for groups to train your team.
This course is for electrical workers, spotters and trade assistants that may work on or around energised circuits. Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue and CPR is completed in a reasonable time frame and therefore, will teach you everything you need to know to rescue and resuscitate an electrical worker.
The Electrical Safety Office requires these nationally recognised units – UETDRMP018 Perform Rescue from a live Low Voltage Panel and HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Furthermore, please refer to the Electrical Safety Act for training requirements.
Specifically, the Electrical Safety Act states in relation to Rescue and Resuscitation training: A person conducting a business or undertaking must ensure workers who are required to perform, or help in performing, electrical work are competent in rescue and resuscitation in accordance with recognised practices in the electricity industry.

Important LVR COURSE Info
The Low Voltage Rescue and CPR Course incorporates the units UETDRMP018 Perform Rescue from a live Low Voltage Panel *and HLTAID009 Provide CPR*.
The Low Voltage Rescue and Provide CPR certification is valid for 12 months from date of issue. Moreover, this certification is nationally recognised. Additionally, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion.
Who should take the LVR and CPR course?
Specifically, the LVR and CPR course is for electrical workers, spotters and trade assistants that may work on or around energised circuits.
What are the physical requirements for the LVR and CPR course?
To successfully complete the course, participants must be able to:
- Perform CPR for 2 minutes uninterrupted.
- Perform in role-play activities.
- Perform in practical assessments.
- Move a patient 3 meters (one man drag).
How long is the LVR and CPR certificate valid?
Twelve (12) months.
What are the entrance requirements for the LVR and CPR course?
Specifically, participants are required to:
- Firstly, have six (6) months of job experience within the electrical industry.
- be 14 years old or older.
- and finally, if under 18 year old, have a valid consent form from a parent or legal guardian.
How much does a LVR course cost?
The standard cost for our Low Voltage and CPR course is $85.00 per person. However, the cost for Student/Concession is $80.00 per person.

What Is This Course About?
Low Voltage Rescue Course Gold Coast Description
Objective of the Low Voltage Rescue Course:
To teach the worker the knowledge and skills required to risk assess an electrical job, set up the area, observe and rescue a person that has come in contact with energised parts, or suffered an arc flash injury from a switchboard.
Therefore, this course covers the units UETDRMP018 Perform Rescue from a live Low Voltage Panel and HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Course Content:
- Understand Electrical Safety Obligations
- Risk assess a high risk job – JSA
- Check the LVR Kit and equipment
- Pinpoint and label the isolation point
- Demonstrate a LV Rescue
- Management of electrical injuries
- Perform a 1 man drag
- Conduct CPR
