As industry leaders, we are considered experts in emergency training and defibrillator supplies. We pride ourselves on teaching practical skills that are based on real-life situations. This is essential for every student and helps them to utilise the new-found skills in an emergency.
Our courses teach people to perform in their own way in emergency situations. All our students leave the courses with confidence and the ability to handle critical situations mentally as an individual or in a team capacity. Our personalised good old fashion service caters for small businesses, yet is large enough to look after national corporations like parkrun, McDonald’s and a host of government organisations.
As a registered training organisation (RTO 32508), we have now trained well over 450,000 students and our training courses are nationally accredited. Offering daily training at Varsity Lakes and Coomera on the Gold Coast or personalised to workplaces throughout South East QLD and Northern NSW.

First Aid Accident & Emergency was established in 2007 in response to a need for fun and innovative First Aid training and equipment for workplaces.
First aid training wasn’t new at the time but our Director, Scott Whimpey, noticed that the majority of service providers were offering the standard long winded, outdated courses that seemed to just “go through the motions”.
We understand that one size does not fit all and our clients have different needs and requirements. We can tailor packages for your workplace with training and equipment. We have a range of programs, online videos and resources for workplaces to assist with on going staff training.

Scott, a dedicated Gold Coast local and Miami State High School graduate, has been actively involved in surf lifesaving and first aid since 1986. As a qualified medic, he collaborates with businesses and community organisations to enhance their critical incident response through comprehensive training, equipment and development programs. His expertise extends to partnerships with organisations such as parkrun Australia, The Kokoda Challenge, and various non-profit groups.
A dynamic and highly motivating leader, Scott has built a team of exceptional emergency training professionals, emphasizing performance-based learning. He is passionate about equipping individuals with life-saving skills and empowering them to become outstanding educators in emergency response

Following a successful resuscitation of a student using a defibrillator during a first aid course in 2015, Scott became committed to making defibrillators accessible across Australia. His mission is to ensure workplaces, clubs, and communities are equipped with this vital life-saving technology.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Scott is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys camping with his family, running, triathlons, and mountain biking. His competitive spirit led him to achieve a course record of 11 hours and 19 minutes in the 96km Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge.
Scott’s unwavering dedication to emergency response training, community safety, and first aid accessibility continues to make a lasting impact across Australia.

Administration/Finance Manager
Mel is the Administration Manager for First Aid Accident & Emergency and has extensive experience within administration and bookings for some of the largest organisations on the Gold Coast.
Mel has a friendly can-do attitude with an eye for detail. Often referred to as the nerve centre behind FAAE, Mel is
the go-to person for course bookings, accounts and any additional information regarding student information.
Administration
Misty Joined the FAAE Team in late 2019 in a part-time capacity. Misty has an extensive background in administration and training within RTO’s and new apprenticeship centres, working with people to gain employment and skills in the Vocational, Education and Training Industry for many years.
As a local Gold Coaster, Misty loves the beach, outdoors and most of all her 2 amazing kids.
Defibrillator Expert | Warehousing
Alby is a Defibrillator expert with extensive knowledge of AED’s as well as all things warehousing and logistics. He has over 10 years experience in sales and warehousing with well known local Gold Coast organisations.
You’ll find Alby in the great outdoors on the weekend either mountain biking or on the golf course.
Contract Trainer
Josh is a Gold Coast local and has lived in Burleigh and Palm Beach area for his whole life.
He has a range of work experience in the Education, Surfing and Building industries.
Josh is very passionate about First Aid and the need for Defibrillators in every workplace. He teaches with passion and engages his students in a calm and professional manner.
He enjoys surfing and hanging out with his family.
Trainer
Rachel is passionate about the health industry and loves to share this by educating others.
With a strong background in education, health services, wellness and fitness streams, you can guarantee all FAAE classes with Rachel are fun, educational, interactive and most of all entertaining!
When not facilitating courses, Rachel spends her time with her family and friends, playing sports, or purposefully getting lost in a forest somewhere.
Trainer
Louise is an experienced trainer and assessor, and is currently training our Provide CPR, Provide First Aid and Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting courses.
Lou has great communication skills and believes that learning is best when each experience is colourful and memorable.
She is a true local and attended Miami High School which is where her First Aid journey began at the age of 17, volunteering to become a first aid officer in her first role at Pacific Fair. She completed a mentorship with QLD Ambulance and RLSSQ in 2013 to become a First Aid Trainer and Assessor.
Defibrillator Sales Specialist
Carrie is our senior Defibrillator Specialist, she is deeply committed to saving lives through the provision of life-saving solutions.
With years of experience and expertise in the field, Carrie is passionate about helping communities and supporting clients in their life-saving efforts.
She takes pride in educating healthcare professionals, workplaces and organisations about the importance of defibrillators and how they can make a difference in emergency situations.
Outside her career, Carrie enjoys spending quality time with her family, camping in nature, and exploring tropical destinations, which allows her to recharge and find inspiration for work.
Administration Assistant
Tia is an Administration Assistant and Social Media Expert, playing a key role in our administration team with training and assessment, while also contributing to our medical supply sector.
Known for her exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, Tia ensures smooth operations and effective support.
She also manages and develops our social media presence and marketing across all platforms, driving engagement and growth.
Outside of work, Tia enjoys staying active, spending time at the beach, and walking her dogs, maintaining a healthy balance between her professional and personal life.
Trainer
Chris is a dedicated safety and security professional with over 30 years of experience as a first responder.
Beginning his career in the Australian Army, Chris has since built an extensive background in emergency response, incident management, and public safety.A proud Gold Coast local and devoted family man, Chris has a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a strong commitment to serving his community.
Throughout his career, Chris has played a pivotal role in handling complex situations, bringing a wealth of practical knowledge to the First Aid Accident and Emergency team. Passionate about developing individuals and teams, he is deeply committed to empowering others with life-saving skills.
