❓Is it ready to save a life?

❓Have the Battery and Pad pack expired?

Now is the time to check your expiry dates and save.

How to check your pad and battery expiry date.

The battery and pad pack is the cartridge plugged into the back of your defibrillator. The expiry date is American and read backwards Year/Month/Day. see the pic attached.
If you require a new set, we have a SALE on short-dated Pad and Battery packs for $159 including Free delivery.
We have limited stock on sale of short-dated HeartSine pads and battery packs in one cartridge.

The Pad and Battery packs have over 3 years shelf life and normally have up to 4 years, this pack normally retails at $249.

The sale price is only on this stock and is now on sale for $159.

The combined pad and battery pack means that there is only one expiring component to worry about when it comes to maintaining your HeartSine Defibrillator, and after an event, you can be sure that the device is completely refreshed and ready for the next rescue. This is a much better concept than relying on a battery that has been in a device for many years and is less expensive over the life of the device.

The HeartSine Battery & Pad-Pak Adult (Grey) is for use on patients who suffer from a Cardiac Arrest from 8 years of age (or more than 25kg). It contains both battery and pads in one simple-to-replace cartridge. Each cartridge has a short-dated expiry date of December 2027 and provides 60 shocks or six hours of continuous monitoring.

When battery power is down to ten shocks or less, the HeartSine Samaritan PAD emits an audible beep to alert it needs to be replaced. Compatible with HeartSine Defibrillator AEDs: 350P, 360P and 500P.

Please note this is a short-dated Battery & Pad-Pak replacement only.

For children younger than 8 or less than 25kg, please see our HeartSine© Child Defibrillator and Battery Pack.

Now we have you, let’s look at when to use your Heartsine Defibrillator.

We recommend following the chain of survival when using a defibrillator in Australia.

  1. Early recognition that the patient is in cardiac arrest, is done by checking the patient’s response, airway and breathing, if the patient is unresponsive, and not breathing make an early call to 000 immediately.
  2. Start CPR on the patient, CPR is aimed at manually pushing the blood around the body to prevent brain and heart damage.
  3. Turn on the defibrillator and follow the prompts. The defibrillator will give voice prompts and ask the responder to call emergency services and then ask the responder to expose the patient’s chest. Once this is done the defibrillator will prompt the rescuer to peel the electrode pads off the plastic and place them on the patient’s chest as shown on the pad diagrams. Typically, one electrode is placed just below the patient’s right clavicle, while the other is placed just below and to the left of the pectoral muscle on the left-hand side. This position allows for an effective current for both ECG readings and defibrillation. We call this the Driver’s seat belt position.
  4. The Defibrillator will ask the responder to cease CPR momentarily and the AED will analyse the patient’s heart rhythm. If the rhythm indicates that defibrillation can help, the machine will either instruct you to press the shock button or step back from the electrodes as it administers the shock automatically. Make sure nobody touches the patient at this time.
  5. When the AED indicates that it is safe to do so, continue with CPR until the patient shows signs of restored heart function or help arrives. The AED may instruct you to administer additional shocks.
  6. If the AED indicates that the patient does not display a shockable rhythm, continue with CPR until the patient starts breathing or emergency services arrive.
